5 EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

RESOLVED: That under Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Public and Press be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the said Act.

6 APPOINTMENT OF CORPORATE LEGAL MANAGER AND MONITORING OFFICER

The Committee interviewed one candidate, Katie White, for the post of Corporate Legal Manager and Monitoring Officer.

The Corporate Human Resources Manager and Strategic Director of Finance, Policy and Governance gave the Member panel feedback on how the candidate had performed at an assessment centre on 23rd April 2010.

There followed a discussion on feedback and development needs, that would be provided to the candidate by the Strategic Director of Finance, Policy and Governance.

Following this discussion, it was

RECOMMENDED TO COUNCIL: That Katie White be appointed to the post of Corporate Legal Manager and Monitoring Officer.
