APPOINTMENT TO THE INDEPENDENT REMUNERATION PANEL Data/Employment Committee/201411241830/Agenda/Report Data/Employment Committee/201411241830/Agenda/Appendix A The Monitoring Officer submitted a report regarding a proposed appointment to the Independent Remuneration Panel (IRP). The Monitoring Officer advised that one candidate had been interviewed by himself and the Section 151 Officer for the one vacant position on the Independent Remuneration Panel. The Monitoring Officer advised that the candidate was considered suitable for appointment and that a suitable reference had been received. The selection methodology used in the interview process was set out in the report. Following debate, it was RESOLVED: That, as recommended by the Monitoring Officer and Section 151 Officer, Mr Michael Goddard be appointed to the Independent Remuneration Panel for a term of five years, commencing from 1 January 2015. REASON FOR DECISION: To enable the Independent Remuneration Panel to continue as a quorate Panel whilst retaining knowledge and expertise, and for informed recommendations to be made to Council regarding Members' Allowances. |
